MLBB Solo Queue Climbing Guide: 8 Habits That Actually Matter

Every season thousands of players are stuck in Epic despite hundreds of hours played. The problem is almost never mechanics — it is decisions. Here are the eight habits that matter most.

1. Pick two heroes, not ten

Specialisation beats flexibility in solo queue. Master one hero per main role plus one backup in case of bans. Eight average heroes lose to one mastered hero.

2. Check the minimap every 3 seconds

Train it until it is automatic. Most Epic deaths happen because a player missed an enemy disappearing from lane.

3. Never chase kills without vision

Chasing one kill into the jungle with no information is the fastest way to hand over a free objective.

4. Objectives over kills

Turtle and Lord give gold to the whole team. One secured Lord beats three kills.

5. Learn matchups, not combos

Combos take ten minutes to memorise. Knowing when an enemy is strong and when to back off is what wins games.

6. Build against the enemy

Two tanks means you need penetration. Heavy burst means earlier defence. Static builds only work in the tutorial.

7. Mute toxic chat

Focus is a resource. If someone starts flaming, mute and move on.

8. Stop after two losses in a row

Tilt causes long losing streaks. Take 30 minutes off instead of queueing angry.

Apply these for a full season and your rank will move — no new hero required.
