Konami has announced the “Nusantara Cup” for eFootball 2026, running four weeks across Southeast Asia with a grand prize: a two-person VIP trip to the Liga 1 final.
Event mechanics
Players earn Nusantara points from vs AI and online matches. A win grants 120 points, a draw 40, and even losses give 10 — a casual-friendly system. Points redeem for trainer skins and local player cards.
Requirements most players miss
Three things disqualify many: accounts need verification level 2 (not just level 1), registration happens in the Event Hub BEFORE collecting points, and your Google Play account country must match the region. Thousands missed out last year by farming points before registering.
The local esports angle
This is not Konami’s first Southeast Asia event, but the first with a local-league viewing prize. Analysts read it as a push into the growing Liga 1 community following new broadcast deals. Last season’s final drew 4 million stream viewers.
Schedule
Four weeks total: online qualifiers in the first fortnight, the top 64 enter a regional bracket, and the bracket final streams on official channels. Registration is free via the in-game menu.
